@JulieBertagna It's very close to mine too, which I think is why I'm drawn to this stuff. Other recent reading includes Richard Jefferies's After London, MP Shiel's The Purple Cloud - so there's a definite pattern to this!

@sam_creighton @realstevenwords @rcharlesworth I absolutely agree with this. I think David Almond is one of the very best writers we have. I love the way he puts words together. Skellig is a hugely important book for me - definitely somewhere in the DNA of Tyger. I also loved A Song For Ella Grey.
