Lust for Life
Irving Stone

The Stand
Stephen King
so I’m about 85 pages into an audiobook of Stephen King’s The Stand and I don’t know if I can stand it. Never read anything by him before. There’s a lot of racist and sexist language, can’t tell if it’s him being that way or characterization, and the dialogue is awful

Witches, Midwives, & Nurses (Second Edition): A History of Women Healers
Barbara Ehrenreich
Another great (and short!) read by Barbara Ehrenreich (with Deirdre English) is Witches, Midwives, and Nurses: A History of Women Healers (1972). Might change the way you think about witches, and the history of medicine: https://t.co/pdKoBebZrM

Jo Van Gogh-Bonger: The Woman Who Made Vincent Famous
Hans Luijten
"The most important Van Gogh book of 2022 is undoubtedly the English edition of Hans Luijten’s Jo van Gogh-Bonger: The Woman Who Made Vincent Famous. Until recently, knowledge of Jo’s role was mainly confined to Van Gogh aficionados.." https://t.co/xYIJ6JFK4P
