@kvpeckwriter 'The Hound of the Baskervilles', Arthur Conan Doyle, when I was a child. It gave me terrible nightmares for several years and a lifelong hatred and fear of dogs. I've never read another 'scary' book in my life. Actually, they don't interest me at all now.
