I just finished "Cyber Mage" by @saadzhossain, which is a sequel to "Djinn City" from 2017. The books are a great read, fantastic plots, good mix of magic & modern technology, suspense and romance. It reminded me of Snow Crash, if that had Djinn in it, and was set in Bangladesh.

@PatrickZircher Specific myths aside, I can def recommend some South Asian fantasies: Saad Z. Hossain's Djinn City and djinn novels are fantastic. Tashan Mehta's The Liar's Weave (prob hard to get outside India), Samit Basu's work, Vajra Chandrasekera's upcoming The Saint of Bright Doors
